Greece is a country steeped in long-held traditions and part of our culture is celebrations and on Ikaria, there are a variety of options if you are looking to experience it.

As well as many local festivals ('panigyria') throughout the year, you should definetely visit one during your stay. 'Raskos' (boiled goat meat), Ikarian wine, live music, fun, folks dancing the traditional Ikariotikos (a dance originating in Ikaria), passionately singing along.
